About The Position
Volante Farms in Needham, MA is a place for all seasons. As a fourth-generation family run farm, farm stand, and garden center it has over one hundred years in the community-- specializing in homegrown and locally grown produce, ornamental and vegetable plants and seasonal decorations. More recently, several new departments were added as part of a large renovation. These include a locally sourced grocery department, butcher shop, seasonal ice cream stand and a still growing food service component including a deli, bakery, coffee shop, and two kitchens preparing food for retail sales; soups, salads, and sandwiches; catering for businesses and family events; pastries and desserts. Requirements
- Service oriented with the ability to handle customers needs and questions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Time management skills
- Cash register knowledge
- Ability to frequently lift up to 80lbs
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee and specialty beverages, scoop ice cream
- Welcome and interact with customers
- Cash out customers
- Assist bakery/kitchen/deli
