Barista – Java Manjaro Coffee Shop Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Barista for our Java Manjaro Coffee Shop. In this role, you will provide beyond expectations customer service to all customers by providing them with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable work environment. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll craft quality beverages with care and deliver friendly, personalized service that makes guests feel welcome while working collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. Starting Rate: $13.00 an hour, plus tips!
Requirements
- Coffee Shop, restaurant, fast-food venue, and/or hotel and resort experience is helpful.
- State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class as well as state-certified proper food handling certification may apply.
- Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant or fast-food venue or as a cashier is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with energy, a genuine smile, positive body language, focused eye contact, and in a timely fashion.
- You must have full knowledge of the menu, food items, specials of the day, coffee drinks, bakery case items, appropriate prices, layout of the Resort and its storage closets.
- Take orders properly as well as enter them into Micros terminal accurately.
- Maintain constant communication between other cashiers and baristas on orders.
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
