Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) to two (2) years of food service and coffee shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Barista is primarily responsible for preparing coffee drinks and food.
• Running the cash register for the coffee shop.
• Prepares coffee shop for serving beverage and food items
• Prepares all product necessary for opening of business day
• Follows correct procedures for brewing of all teas and coffees and follows guidelines concerning shelf life
• Sets up all food items in accordance to schedule
• Sets up deli and pastry case
• Displays food items in an attractive manner. Replenishes and maintains quantities during serving hours
• Sets up cash register and counts the cash drawer
• Serves customers during business hours
• Serves all beverages and foods according to recipes and demonstrates product knowledge
