Provide excellent customer service while making quality, hand-crafted beverages. The barista is responsible for educating guests about our premium coffees, teas, gelatos and food items. Determine guest needs and suggest products to enhance service and meet sales goals. Takes guest orders, suggest entrees, and sides, informs guest of next step of service. Prepares coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, café latte, and cappuccino. Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs. Assist guests in the selection and purchase of food and beverages. Assist food servers and food runners in table maintenance and clean when necessary. Ensure dining and serving areas are set up and maintained according to standard. Package guest’s orders according to established recipes and outlet standards. Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases, shelves, and displays clean and well stocked, while continuously checking and ensuring freshness and quality of products. Operate electronic cash register system to accurately and immediately account for payment transactions and transports monies to and from the main credit cage. Responsible for all day-to-day activities in work areas to maintain service, product quality and cashiering responsibilities. Communicate stock/par levels of product to management. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
