ROLE SUMMARY: The Barista is responsible for delivering exceptional coffee and beverage service while creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable guest experience reflective of Hotel Drover’s Legendary Hospitality. This role combines craft beverage preparation, guest engagement, and cashiering responsibilities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of the City of Fort Worth and other parts of the DFW metropolitan area
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and graciously with guests and team members.
Flexible schedule — must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous coffee, café, food & beverage, or hospitality experience preferred.
Passion for coffee and interest in learning craft beverage techniques.
Prior experience with POS or cash-handling systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages in accordance with brand recipes, quality standards, and guest preferences.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests with genuine Texas hospitality; anticipate needs and respond promptly to requests.
Accurately input orders into the POS/MICROS system, process payments, provide correct change, and resolve basic cashier discrepancies.
Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, securing cash banks, and locking work areas.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary coffee bar, workstations, equipment, and guest areas throughout the shift.
Monitor beverage equipment to ensure appliances are operating properly and turned on/off at appropriate times.
Stock inventory, rotate products, and communicate supply needs to leadership to support business levels.
Bus tables and coffee cart areas, wash dishes and utensils, and ensure consistent cleanliness of guest-facing spaces.
Follow all company safety, sanitation, and security policies; report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive demeanor while collaborating effectively with teammates and leaders.
Support team goals by fostering strong working relationships across departments.
