About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee drinks along with grab and cafe food items. You will also lead customer interactions with a warm and friendly demeanor, while providing exceptional service to the members of The Lighthouse. Our Cafe team will work collaboratively with Campus Leadership to ensure our customers have a positive experience from the moment they enter The Lighthouse.

Requirements

Previous barista or cashier experience at a cafe is a plus. We may be able to train in some cases for the right candidate.
Remarkable customer service skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced creator centric environment.
Strong and efficient communication skills.
Be a Good Person
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Frequent bending, squatting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Will require daytime, evening, and weekend availability.
Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, drip coffee, specialty salads, sandwiches, and provisions to members with exceptional service.
Operate and maintain cafe equipment and coffee machines with care and to brand standard.
Regularly take bus tubs of dirty dishes to scullery and running dishwasher.
Communicate with the Campus Support team to manage the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the scullery kitchen and cafe.
Restock coffee, milk, syrups, snacks and other supplies.
Provide recommendations and information about the menu.
Be open to feedback from The Lighthouse Leadership Team regarding best practices, menu decisions and member/guest experience.
Be a team player. Be willing to help your team and in other departments when needed.
