Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Barista to join our team! JOB SUMMARY: Baristas create specialty drinks and serve food. Baristas also provide a professional and friendly atmosphere by building connections with each customer. About Mountain View: Mountain View Hospital and our 29 affiliate clinics are committed to providing compassionate, cutting edge care to our patients. We serve the entire Snake River Valley – all the way from Pocatello to Rexburg. Requirements
- Education/Certification: Food handlers permit is required (but can be obtained once hired).
- Equipment/Technology: Must be able to operate cash register, espresso machine, computer, multi-line phone, etc.
- Language/Communication: Must have the ability to read, write and speak English. Baristas must work well in team environments.
- Mathematical Skills: General mathematics skills required.
- Mental Capabilities: Must be able to work under pressure.
- Interpersonal: Excellent customer service skills required.
- Performance: Job tasks must be completed professionally and with excellence.
Nice To Haves
- Experience: Having Barista experience is helpful but not required. Food service experience is also helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Craft specialty beverages.
- Serve baked goods, hot soup, and sandwiches.
- Follow food safety procedures.
- Complete Food Handlers certification.
- Maintain an organized and clean working area.
- Operate cash register/computer and balance the till at the end of each day.
- Create positive connections with each customer.
- Work effectively along or in small groups.
- Attends and actively participates in department meetings
- Follows policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment
- Observes and follows all Mountain View Hospital dress and grooming guidelines.
- Treats all people with respect and dignity, including but not limited to: patients, families, guests, vendors, physicians, employees, etc.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
- The employee is required to comply with all PCI standards and other company policies and procedures for payment card acceptance and security.
