About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Sweet Adeline Bakeshop in Berkeley, CA. This part-time position requires a commitment to work from Wednesday through Sunday, primarily in the morning hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baked goods and coffee, along with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service role is required.
• Familiarity with Square POS system is a plus.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machines is necessary.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
• Being a coachable person who is receptive to feedback from owners.

Responsibilities

• Help customers from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Make espresso drinks and brew coffee.
• Cut cakes, tarts, and pies, boxing and bagging items.
• Handle each transaction with accuracy.
• Provide eager and upbeat customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area.
