About The Position

Luna Cafe is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join our team, located inside Ashland Hills Hotel. The Barista will be responsible for crafting exceptional beverages and providing outstanding customer service to hotel guests and local patrons, ensuring a memorable coffee experience in an upscale café environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.

Nice To Haves

• Previous barista experience.
• Knowledge of coffee varieties and brewing methods.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Food safety certification.
• Cash handling experience.
• Hotel or hospitality experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Craft various coffee drinks, espresso shots, teas, and other beverages following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Operate and maintain coffee-making equipment including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
• Take customer orders accurately while providing personalized recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and seating areas.
• Process payments through various methods (cash, credit, mobile).
• Manage inventory and restock supplies throughout shifts.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere through exceptional customer service.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards, including proper allergen handling.
• Perform regular equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
