About the position

The Barista will serve visitors and hospital staff at Kiosks by making specialty coffee, frozen drinks and a variety of Grab-n-Go food items and snacks. They are responsible for merchandising, ordering, management of cash/credit card transactions, cleaning and sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customer(s) politely and very courteously, asking if they need help with a drink choice or a food selection.
  • Prepares specialty, hot, cold and frozen beverages/drinks in a timely manner to meet the request of customer(s).
  • Operates cash register by charging correct prices for item(s) served accurately, receives cash, employee payroll deduct, credit & debit cards, tenders sale and counts back change accurately.
  • Keeps work area and all equipment clean, safe and meeting all Health Department Requirements.
  • Ensures that all foods are held at appropriate temperatures and items sold are fresh and of optimum quality.
  • Orders food and supplies to meet the demands of the kiosk/area.
  • Communicates equipment malfunctions or problems to management in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Oklahoma Food Handler's permit.
  • 6 months to 1 year food service and/or retail food experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of food service or retail through education.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service awareness.
  • Ability to learn Barista techniques in making specialty coffee drinks.
