About The Position
As a Specialty Coffee Barista Trainer at Coffee Commissary, you will play a crucial role in shaping the skills and knowledge of our barista team. This position primarily serves our Kenneth Village Glendale and Olive Ave Burbank locations, requiring travel between the two. You will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs that ensure our baristas deliver exceptional coffee and service. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about specialty coffee, has a deep understanding of coffee preparation techniques, and enjoys teaching and mentoring others. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for new and existing baristas, covering all aspects of specialty coffee preparation, including espresso techniques, latte art, brewing methods, and more. You will ensure that all training materials are up-to-date and reflect the latest trends and standards in the specialty coffee industry. Regular training sessions and workshops will be conducted to continually improve the skills of our barista team, and you will assess their skills, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential. Maintaining a strong focus on quality control is essential, ensuring that all beverages meet Coffee Commissary's high standards. You will collaborate with the management team to identify training needs and opportunities for professional development, staying informed about industry trends and innovations to incorporate this knowledge into training programs. Additionally, you will assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new baristas, ensuring they are fully prepared to represent Coffee Commissary.
