Pelican Grand Beach Resort is seeking to hire an enthusiastic, organically upbeat Barista/Retail Attendant to prepare and serve our customers at our retail shop & coffee shop. Requirements
- Must be able to consistently provide excellent and engaging customer service
- 1 - 2 years of retail experience required.
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to stay calm in a fast paced and sometimes stressful situations with guest
- Flexibility to work hours that may change based on the season or business needs
- Ability to learn new recipes and techniques
- Ability to work well as part of a team or as an independent contractor
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in espresso bar service is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greeting all guests in an upbeat and professional manner
- Making coffees/specialty coffees
- Selling/Upselling items in retail shop
- Prepare & service ice cream/gelato to guests
- Replenishment of all food & beverage items.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the shop during operating hours (sweeping, sanitizing, wiping down areas on a consistent basis)
- Assist with monthly inventory, including counting, scanning, restocking, organizing.
