About The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a part-time barista for the AM shift at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center. The shift runs from 5:45 AM until close (approximately 1 PM plus clean up). Availability on weekends and holidays is a must, and PM availability is a plus if coverage is needed in an emergency. The ideal candidate will provide world-class customer service by delivering timely and friendly coffee bar service, suggestive selling, maintaining product presentation standards, and ensuring the cleanliness of the coffee bar. The position is located within the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center at our Starbucks kiosk called STEAM. Above all, the Barista must provide exceptional guest service to every guest, every time!

Requirements

• Six months' previous experience as a Barista is preferred, especially if it was at Starbucks.
• Outstanding communication skills that make connecting with guests easy.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and turn hectic moments into opportunities to shine.
• Flexibility in scheduling to include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service by taking orders and offering menu recommendations.
• Ensure accurate delivery of food and beverages.
• Maintain product presentation standards and cleanliness of the coffee bar.
• Process transactions (cash, credit card, and room charge) in the POS system.
• Complete all side work and opening/closing duties; complete all paperwork associated with closing cashier at the end of the shift.
• Maintain knowledge of the property and local events to answer guest inquiries.
