Requirements

Must have or the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler's Card.
Must have a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska.
Minimum age of 21 years required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska.
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. You must also have the ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, supervise and manage staff.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

Organizing and setting up workspace before, during, and after each shift including stocking, cleaning, sanitizing, and preparatory work.
Working with the F&B leadership team to ensure the smooth operation of coffee sales.
Knowledgeable in all aspects of the coffee beverages being offered.
Train and encourage the growth of fellow team members.
Greeting and welcoming guests to the restaurant while maintaining a professional appearance.
Knowledgably present menus and recommendations to guests.
Using the company's sequence with guests to make sure they are having a quality beverage experience.
Clearing, cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting the venue as needed.
Efficiently operating a computerized point of sale system, completing financial transactions accurately, making change, and running credit cards.
Effectively and proactively communicate any safety, guest, or employee concerns with the Supervisors and Management.
Contributing to the overall success of the venue, and welcoming guests as needed.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
