About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY: The Barista's primary responsibility is to deliver outstanding service to guests in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. Requirements
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
- Food Handler’s Card
- Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment.
Responsibilities
- Greets guests in a positive, friendly manner and makes them feel welcome
- Take and input orders into Agilisys, receive payment and make proper change, complete required transactions, and categorize tendered receipts by media type
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items to guests
- Operate a commercial coffee/espresso machine, making specialty beverages
- Bid farewell to guests, using the guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return
- Understanding of MMS to order a product
- Routinely cleans all kitchen equipment and disposes of all trash daily
- Consistently follow the sequence of service, utilizing proper procedures standardized by the department
- Itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure payment
- Expedite the order in an accurate and timely manner
- Pack the orders as per guests’ preferences and complete the order with any necessary condiments
- Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
- Refill and stock all supplies and machines within the outlet
- Maintain the cleanliness of all front and back of the house areas within the outlet
- Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders in the designated storage
- Work as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries
- Ensuring the product is picked up from the warehouse and brought to the outlet/outlets
- Ability to organize
- Stocking of side stations, with dry goods
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby
- Maintain health code standards
- Maintain clean and neat guest-facing areas
- Stock product as needed
- Ability to lift to 40lbs
- Ability to put away large product orders
- Good use of time management
- Performs all other job-related duties as requested
