You will be in an energetic store environment where you will have the ability to master your food & beverage craft, work alongside friends and meet new people every day.

  • Meets store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security.
  • Efficiently and accurately operates the register system including proper labeling all Starbucks drink and food items.
  • Reviews the menu, pricing and register screen prior to starting shift.
  • Maintains work area throughout shift. Makes sure the area is clean, sanitized and well stocked with proper cups, lids, syrups, coffees, and refreshers.
  • Prepares food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers per the Starbucks Barista Basics training guide.
  • Assembles supplies needed for shift.
  • Sets-up, delivers, serves, and cleans according to established standards.
  • Engages with and understands our customers per the Starbucks Barista Basics training guide.
  • Ensures items are stored according to FDA Food Code.
  • Work with delivery vendor (Estes) to unload, inspect and properly store Starbucks food items.
  • Inspects items during receiving, rejects unacceptable products, and documents for credit.
  • Follows training and safety procedures when operating equipment.
  • Inventories assigned areas and follows Starbucks Par Builder Par Sheets.
  • Available to perform different shift locations throughout the store.
  • Attends Starbucks seasonal promotional period trainings as appropriate.
  • Valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from Monongalia County Health Department (MCHD) prior to starting OR obtain MCHD Temporary FSWP no later than the first Wednesday of employment.
  • Must obtain a valid MCHD FSWP within 1 month of start date and maintain throughout employment.
  • Starbucks Barista Basics certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Prefer prior barista and or food service experience in a high-volume setting.
