About The Position
Intentional Coffee is looking for an upstanding, energetic candidate to join our team of Baristas as a Lead Barista/Shift Supervisor. As a Lead Barista, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to every customer. You will educate customers about premium coffees, teas, and drinks, fulfilling any additional duties assigned by the Manager. A positive attitude is essential to ensure the return of our customers, and you will seek to understand customer needs, tailoring suggestions to suit those needs while sharing product knowledge accurately and confidently. In this role, you will provide quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. You will follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products, provide inspired customer service, and maintain punctuality. Keeping a clean, organized, and stocked environment is crucial, and you will assist in the distribution of product shipments when necessary. You will perform all POS duties and front and back of house functions, including opening and closing procedures. Effective and positive communication amongst all team members is essential, and you will ensure that all cash handling procedures are upheld, being accountable for store funds while running a shift. Assisting the Store Manager in planning and executing all sales promotions effectively and efficiently is part of your responsibilities. You will provide guidance and actively set an example for team members, ensuring that all Standard Operating Procedures are maintained and followed. Promoting and practicing safe work habits is vital, and you will report potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies, and team member incidents to the store manager.
