About The Position

Carle Health is seeking a Bariatric Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. This position involves joining a growing Bariatric Surgery team with a BC Bariatric/General Surgeon and dedicated support staff. The role includes a blend of clinic and hospital responsibilities, with no call or weekend responsibilities. The schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing with Acute Care specialty (ACNP) or Physician Assistant
• At least 1 year of APP experience required
• Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse licensure / physician assistant licensure

Responsibilities

• Delivery of care to bariatric candidates and patients
• Pre/post-operative assessment and responsibilities
• Patient treatment planning and counseling
• Monthly office visits to review patient progress
• In-office procedures including wound assessment and lap band fills
• Acting as Bariatric Program Coordinator under supervision of the Program Medical Director
