About The Position

Tufts Medicine is seeking a per diem Bariatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team of collaborative providers at our Lowell General Hospital Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery Center in North Chelmsford, MA. Join an established group of 5 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners in the most comprehensive bariatric surgery program in the region. The ideal candidate will have experience with and/or a strong interest in bariatrics/weight management and be comfortable evaluating patients for metabolic conditions, creating customized treatment plans, and prescribing anti-obesity medications including GLP-1's in accordance with evidence-based protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited and/or approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Clinical experience in Bariatric Medicine/Weight Management is preferred.
• Current certification in CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Complete outpatient weight & wellness consults and care for patients.

• Prescribe anti-obesity medications in accordance with evidence-based protocols.
