About The Position

A Barge Washer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining barges to ensure they are safe and ready for operations. This role involves using various equipment and techniques to remove debris and contaminants from the barges. This position is crucial for ensuring that barges are maintained to high standards, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of marine operations.

Requirements

• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety instructions.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects and performing physical labor.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-pressure washing equipment to clean the interior and exterior of barges.
• Use hand tools such as brushes and hoses to effectively remove dirt and residue.
• Strip and clean barges, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on washing equipment.
• Assist in minor repairs and painting activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety guidelines.
