About The Position

Planet Fitness is looking for a skilled and passionate Barber to join our team and be a key part of our Black Spa amenities, an exclusive service designed to provide members with a premium grooming experience. As a Barber at Planet Fitness, you’ll not only deliver exceptional haircuts and grooming services but also play a vital role in enhancing the member experience within our Black Spa.

Requirements

• Active state Barber’s license & certifications (marbete).
• Previous experience as a Barber is preferred.
• Expertise in various haircut styles, beard grooming, and current trends.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and consult with clients to understand their hair and grooming preferences.
• Perform haircuts, trims, and grooming services with precision, using clippers, and scissors.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and salon area, following all sanitation and safety protocols.
• Educate clients on hair care maintenance and recommend suitable products.
• Contribute to the daily operation of the Black Spa amenities, ensuring top-tier service and a luxurious member experience.
• Assist in the day-to-day management and upkeep of the Black Spa amenities, ensuring all services and spaces meet high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure an exceptional experience for our members.
• Provide a welcoming, customer-first experience that aligns with the judgment-free philosophy of Planet Fitness.
