The Barback is responsible for assisting the bartenders in providing the highest quality service possible to guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation. The Barback is also in charge of restocking the bar of glassware and liquor. Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees. Readily smiles and maintains an engaging expression throughout full guest experience Exhibits a genuine sense of interest and concern for the guest and demonstrates anticipatory service when appropriate and helpful. Consistently and respectfully personalizes guest interactions, addressing the guest in accordance with their preference, if known. Performs the requirements of their department knowledgeable and proficiently. Can confidently answer any questions about the entire hotel or obtain effective and prompt assistance Have a thorough knowledge of menus. Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Pre-bus all tables removing soiled dishes after each course. Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S system. Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and established checklist. Ensure that tables and side stations are kept stocked, tidy and clean at all times. Service guests to the standard steps of service while implementing fundamental standards as outlined by management Breakdown trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish room according to established standards. Be familiar with fire extinguishers, locations and know how to use them. Ensure overall guest satisfaction and end each interaction with a warm and sincere closing. Other duties as assigned.
