About The Position

Stable Hall is a premier live music venue at the Pearl in San Antonio, providing a fast-paced and dynamic environment with new shows, crowds, and setups for each shift. We are looking for hardworking and reliable barbacks to support our bartending team by ensuring the bar runs smoothly and efficiently during high-volume events. As a barback at Stable Hall, you will play a key role in supporting our bartenders and ensuring the bar is stocked, clean, and prepared for each shift. Your responsibilities will include restocking supplies, cleaning bar areas, and assisting with any needs that arise during service. With each shift presenting a new crowd and layout, you will need to be quick on your feet and adaptable. Barbacks at Stable Hall participate in a tip pool system and are expected to pick up their own shifts.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred but not required
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items such as cases of liquor and kegs (up to 50 lbs)
• Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Must be 18+ and willing to obtain TABC certification (required before starting)
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays during events

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Restock and replenish bar supplies such as liquor, ice, plastic cups, and garnishes
• Assist bartenders in maintaining a clean and organized bar area
• Ensure all bar stations are fully stocked throughout the shift
• Help with clearing and disposing of used plastic cups, cleaning spills, and removing trash
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of bar stations for events
• Work closely with the bartending team to ensure smooth, efficient service
• Follow TABC laws and regulations regarding alcohol handling
• Pick up your own shifts and arrange coverage if unable to work
• Adapt to new bar layouts and demands for each event
