Barback (AT&T Discovery District)
About The Position
The Barback is responsible for supporting bartenders by maintaining stock levels, preparing supplies, and ensuring the bar operates efficiently to deliver exceptional guest service in a restaurant environment. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet service standards
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to read, write, and speak English for guest communication
- Ability to lift and carry 10–30 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and AT&T Discovery District events
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
- TABC Certification (required)
- Food Handler’s Certification (required)
- Practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and procedures
- Complete all required company and job-specific safety training
Nice To Haves
- 2–3 years of experience in a fast-paced bar, high-end club, or restaurant preferred
Responsibilities
- Stock bar items daily and refill ice bins as needed
- Anticipate bartender and operational needs throughout each shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar areas
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work as scheduled
- Understand assigned work areas and complete setup as directed
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and operating standards
- Ensure prompt and high-quality service to all guests
- Perform additional duties as assigned
