About The Position

Maxime’s is NYC’s newest private member’s club from entrepreneur Robin Birley; owner of prestigious private member’s clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s in London. Maxime’s mission is to provide exceptional and discreet service for our members through unparalleled hospitality. Our aim is to make members feel as though they are in a private home, enjoying outstanding food and wine surrounded by stunning decor. Maxime’s is the newest private member’s club opening from entrepreneur Robin Birley, located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City. We are seeking a Barback to join our world- class hospitality brigade. The Barback support the Bartenders with all preparation aspects, restocking, and maintaining cleanliness. They also work closely with all front- and back-of-house team members to uphold the standards of the bar program and create a welcoming atmosphere, elevating Maxime’s brand and service standards at all times.

Requirements

Proven success as a Barback/Beverage Support within fine dining, Michelin-star establishments, or luxury hotel settings.
Knowledge of bar service as well as culinary concepts and terminology.
Capable of preparing bar for service by filling wells with ice; preparing fruit trays; restocking the bar with beer, liquor, wine, glassware, and juices; and stocking trash cans and towels; properly rotates products and ensures perishable items are labeled; regularly checks the draught beers to make sure kegs are functional; changes kegs as needed in accordance with safety standards.
Adheres to all Department of Health and Safety standards related to food and beverage handling, hygiene, and alcohol service.
Thrives in high- end environments, consistently upholding superior service standards and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Capable of operating autonomously with minimal oversight.
Maintains a professional, upbeat demeanor and embraces a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
TIPS certification required.
Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, per the needs of the business.
