About The Position

POSITION OBJECTIVE Provides excellent customer service which includes but not limited to stocking bars, stations, coolers and garnish preparations. Maintaining liquor and bar storage rooms and keeping a clean, orderly, and well-stocked bar.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Complete the South Carolina state-approved ServSafe Alcohol Online Course & Exam within 30 days of hire
  • Possess a valid ABL Server License issued by the state of South Carolina within 30 days of hire
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for a minimum of 8 hours in length.
  • Walking and standing are required for much of the work day and possibly for 8 hours or more.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift trays of food, food items, bags, cases weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
  • Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior bar related experience desired but not required. Knowledge of food, wine & liquor service preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains appropriate levels of inventory and supplies by replenishing bar supplies.
  • Maintain the appearance of the bar and lounge areas by cleaning and resetting bars and related areas, stocking and removing glassware and related supplies such as ice, napkins and straws.
  • Washes all glasses, utensils, and related preparation/serving items by following approved sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Properly disposes of recyclables and transports soiled barware to stewarding area.
  • Follows all standard food handling, sanitation, TIPS and health department guidelines.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be flexible in schedule, including evening, weekend and holidays.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty as business demands.
