The Barback supports beverage operations by assisting bartenders with setup, restocking, and maintenance of portable bars during operational hours at our off-site restaurant. This position plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in ensuring efficient, organized, and seamless bar service. The Barback upholds the resort’s high standards of hospitality through teamwork, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous barback support experience preferred; hospitality or event experience a plus.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age (21+ preferred).
- Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certifications required (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and breakdown of bars in accordance with the Dellshire standards.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, garnishes, and bar supplies throughout operational times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, storage rooms, and beverage stations.
- Ensure portable bars are fully equipped and operational before the restaurant opens.
- Replace kegs, empty trash, and replenish ice as needed during service.
- Support bartenders by preparing garnishes, organizing backstock, and refilling beverage products.
- Transport beverages, glassware, and equipment safely between storage areas and bars.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with post-event cleanup and restocking.
- Follow all health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to supervisor.
- Provide courteous assistance to guests and team members while representing the Dellshire brand with professionalism.
