About The Position

The Barback is responsible for helping the bartender in the daily operation of the restaurant bar. Essential Functions Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Responsible for stocking all liquor, beer, and wine at the Banquet Bar. Adhere to the Restaurant schedule at all times. Maintain the cleanliness of the bar, refrigerators, and service areas of the bar in an organized manner. Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring bartenders are set up for success. Replenish all liquor, beer and wine as needed in the bar during the shift. Be familiar with beverages, cocktails and resorts pouring standards. Assist in opening and closing side-work as assigned. Follow resorts protocols on responsible serving. Assist with food service if required. Report any broken or damaged equipment. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management. Qualifications In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required. Must be able to work under pressure in a faced paced environment. Must be 21 years of age or older. Working Conditions and Schedule Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Medium work – Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (and/or with assistance), and/or frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing 20 pounds. Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours. Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
