About The Position

The Barback will assist Bartenders to ensure they have everything they need to efficiently serve our guests. Their duties may include replacing kegs, restocking glasses and supplies, and keeping the area clean to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of bar menu items
• Ability to work night shifts and weekend shifts
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Be able to anticipate customer needs, deliver on those needs, and exceed expectations
• Demonstrate customer hospitality and service standards by providing excellent one-on-one customer service
• Be reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfill obligations
• Ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and interact with all customers to help build and speak about the culture of Guckenheimer/ISS
• Must be able to work cooperatively with all co-workers, treating them with courtesy and respect always
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must act professionally to set an example for all others at all times
• Must have a strong attention to detail
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This includes following safety protocols, maintaining environmental responsibility, and upholding quality standards in all tasks. Employees are expected to actively participate in HSEQ training and report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.

Responsibilities

• Keep the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins, and all necessary items before and during service hours
• Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegs, and restock napkins and straws
• Moving, placing tables and chairs to accommodate volume
• Clean up spills, remove glassware and organize the counter
• Keep the bar area neat and clean
• Coordinate with managers, kitchen staff and security personnel to ensure efficient service to customers
• Handle emergency situations, like cleaning up broken glass and clearing up clogged drains. Must follow all safety rules and be actively aware and observant in the prevention of accidents
• Commitment to the service values and ethics per the company’s standard
• Perform end-of-shift closeout tasks
• Must follow other duties as assigned
