Job Summary: Barbacks's go from bar station to bar station, stocking liquors, refilling garnishes, polishing glasses, stacking napkins, hauling kegs, bringing glassware back from the dishwasher, helping punch orders into the bar POS, and chatting with customers who have questions. They're often on the path to become bartenders. Essential Job Functions: Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues Follows operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that team members can locate resources and products as needed Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products Responsible for ensuring a consistent flow of services to guest and cocktail servers by assisting bartender with their job functions Ensures that bar tops and floors are clean as well as used glassware is removed from bar tops Clears and wipes down tables in any lounge area Receives and delivers product to appropriate outlet and stocks in accordance to specification Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word Occasional distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances Able to understand and comply with all safety regulations and rules
