About The Position

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
• Excellent customer service/communication skills
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
• Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
• Able to work in constricting areas
• Able to tolerate noise and bright lights
• Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift over a 100 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces

Responsibilities

• Providing fast, friendly, professional service to casino guests, beverage servers and bartenders
• Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
• Serving as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions
• Promoting casino events and programs
• Providing personalized service and uses guest name
• Resolving service problems according to guidelines
• Working well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, other barbacks, beverage supervisors, and casino supervisors
• Maintaining par levels of operating supplies and equipment for each bar obtaining replacement stock from warehouse inventory in accordance with procedure
• Placing liquors, fruits, glassware, linen, silverware, paper supplies and sundries in their designated places following established storage guidelines and safety procedures
• Replacing empty draught beer kegs as may be required
• Slicing and pitting fruit, and fills ice bins with crushed or cubed ice from designated ice machines
• Operating and maintaining all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
• Removing and properly disposes of all debris accumulated at the bar in accordance with department procedures
• Wiping counter areas, sinks and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe work station
• Maintaining cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards
