About The Position

The position involves stocking and re-stocking all bar inventories and supplies while maintaining the organization of the bar. Team members assist bartenders and cocktail servers in all aspects of guest service, ensuring gracious hospitality through polite and courteous interactions with guests, fellow team members, and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Previous hospitality experience.
  • Previous bar-backing experience.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests in a timely manner.
  • Provide professional and exceptional service.
  • Help ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests.
  • Maintain general cleanliness of bar, bar area, and the entire venue.
  • Follow supervisor's instructions, communicate with and support co-workers while being a team player.
  • Possess general knowledge of all food and beverage menus, and company policies & procedures.
  • Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all fellow team members.
  • Communicate the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs.
  • Properly set up the bar stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
  • Ensure the bar and bar area is clean and free of debris.
  • Set bar with proper equipment and settings as required.
  • Wipe down bar-top, bar stools, lounge tables, and chairs.
  • Stock bar stations with prescribed supplies.
  • Perform opening side-work as prescribed.
  • Perform closing side-work as prescribed.
  • Properly follow all beverage requisition procedures.
  • Assist the bartenders to ensure a high level of quality and speedy service.
  • Empty the trash from behind the bar and dispose of it correctly.
  • Keep clean and organized all back-of-house storage and refrigeration.
  • Maintain all liquor displays and shelving organized and at par levels.
  • Report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings.
  • Attend and participate in any training sessions or departmental meetings.
  • Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
  • Portray a positive and professional attitude.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
  • Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
