About The Position

The Cove Bar Staff (Bartender/Server/Barback) At The Cove, our Bar Team Members are the ultimate triple threat—combining the skill of a bartender, the attentiveness of a server, and the hustle of a bar back. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, serving guests with enthusiasm while ensuring the bar runs seamlessly behind the scenes. At the same time, you embody Strong Work, willing to get your hands dirty, tackle tough tasks, and keep every moving piece in sync. This is a seasonal job that requires a flexible and open schedule between the months of April-September.

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform the job functions with minimal supervision
• People who are excited to fulfill our teams’ mission
• Effective and clear communicators
• Individuals comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Experience in using a point-of-sale system
• Have (or obtain after hire) TABC and Food Handlers’ Certification
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be able to bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Be comfortable wearing a uniform designed for beach/pool/outdoor activities
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Be able to work in the sun and heat for extended periods (up to 8 hours)

Responsibilities

• Setup and close bar area
• Build relationships with guests
• Take drink and food orders, prepare drinks, and close customer checks
• One of your biggest responsibilities is helping guests pace themselves so they don’t have “too much fun”
• Keep the bar and bathroom areas stocked, clean, and organized
• Maintain proper inventory levels
• Assist with weekly deep cleans and maintain high sanitation standards
• Spot clean problem areas and remove trash from the venue
