As a Bar Server, you will promote and provide beverage services throughout the ship to the guests. You will also improve and maintain sales. Requirements

Minimum 21 years old
Relevant ship experience is preferred
Good level of English language
Ship experience is preferred
Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with guests, department heads and crewmembers to foresee and resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.

Responsibilities

Check schedule for work assignment and times of duty. When reporting for duty, personnel must be at their position ten (10) minutes before the scheduled time.
Once assigned a workstation or section in a lounge the Bar Server must be present for the entire shift.
Ensure that station is properly cleaned before set up. The station must be fully set at all times with fruit containers, full ice bins and bar aide caddy.
Ensure personal appearance, personal hygiene and uniform appearance are at all times in accordance with company policy.
Suggest a souvenir glass, special promotion or drinks of the day. Match drink suggestion to the time of the day, guest’s personal occasion or mood of the guest. A glass of brandy is a good way to relax after dinner.
Check to see that tables are clean, orderly, and properly set, clean ashtrays and table tents.
Greet guests by name and escort them to their seats when they enter the lounge or bar.
Know the bar menu well and is able to explain and suggest drinks to guests etc.
