About The Position

Luana Lounge is an idyllic sunset spot made for intimate celebrations, romantic dates and special gatherings. Fairmont Orchid’s lobby-level lounge features island-inspired, hand-crafted sushi and cocktail in our lobby-level lounge. Guests mark another day of rest and relaxation by sipping chilled wine, specialty drinks and indulge in fresh sushi selections.
What you will be doing:
Provide unique dining experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal & detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast paced environment.
Ensure a positive first impression of the restaurant for our guests through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control.

Requirements

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
• Detailed & service oriented with an eye for detail to be self-motivated and energetic.
• Provide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance)

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
• Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage (Blue Liquor Card)

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, contents & preparation methods, outlets and hotel services/features
• Prepare mixer, cut fruit, receive requisitions, check par levels, refill mixers, get ice, run food, and collect and dispose of garbage.
• Ensure that the bar is set according to standards and procedures
• Ensure guests receive warm welcome, timely service & a fond farewell
• Try to remember individual patron’s names and their preferences to extend a personalized service
• Clean glassware and wipe down bars and tidy up bar counter after the departure of the patrons as quickly as possible
• Ensure that all food & beverage are served according to service standard
• Properly identifying the age of all patrons.
• Tend to cashier duties for servers for cash payments.
• Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set bar service areas according to standards and procedures
• Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required
• Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
• Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel
