About The Position
Position Overview:The primary responsibility of the Bar Porter – South Bar is to provide unmatched customer service through the efficient and thorough completion of their tasks, including but not limited to: keeping all bar areas (from the waist down) clean, removal of trash, and helping in operation of the department in any other way. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. Requirements
- 21+ years of age
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Food handler's card, an Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- Must possess a minimum of one year experience as a Food and Beverage Busser in a high volume setting required.
- Have a basic knowledge of attractions/restaurants in the Las Vegas area and provided by the Venetian.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Have interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company appearance standards.
- Maintain consistent adherence to the Venetian and Palazzo Unmatched Guest Service Standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- One year experience cleaning in a bar operation setting preferred.
