About The Position

The Bar Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all bar operations, including staff management, ensuring product and service standards are met, and implementing and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience is required.
• 3 years of serving experience is required.
• Excellent oral communication skills are required.
• Positive interpersonal skills are required.
• Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
• Ability to speak and hear.
• Close and distance vision.
• Frequent walking with some standing at times.
• Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances.
• Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.
• Continually use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual and fine motor skills.
• Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Work with HR to determine staff needs and recruit appropriately.
• Manage staff productivity.
• Write weekly bar schedule in 7 shifts to be posted at least one week in advance.
• Utilize labor tools and functionality of 7shift’s tools.
• Maintain cleaning schedule.
• Communicate company policy, standards, and procedures to staff through voice and action.
• Work with HR on all disciplinary actions.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards.
• Monitor and order bar supplies, including liquor inventory.
• Attend weekly manager meetings.
