We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and hospitality driven Bar Back to support our bartending team in a fast-paced, high-volume cocktail bar environment. This role is essential to keeping service running smoothly by maintaining bar organization, stocking supplies, assisting bartenders, and preparing simple food items for guests. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy atmosphere, works with urgency, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, efficient bar.

Requirements

Previous bar back or restaurant experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and friendly environment
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing tasks
Basic food handling knowledge is a plus
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Stock and restock liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, and bar supplies throughout service
Keep bar stations clean, organized, and fully prepared for service
Assist bartenders with ingredient prep including juices, garnishes, syrups, and batched cocktails
Change kegs, refill ice wells, and maintain bar equipment
Clear glassware and run dishwashing as needed
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, floors, and storage spaces
Anticipate bartender needs to ensure efficient service during high-volume shifts
Prepare simple food items according to bar standards (small plates, snacks, garnishes, etc.)
Plate and present food for guests in a timely manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of food prep areas
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Monitor inventory of food items and notify management when restocking is needed
Assist with opening and closing duties
Receive and organize deliveries
Maintain a positive and professional attitude with staff and guests
Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
