About The Position

The position involves setting up and tearing down for all meeting and catered functions according to BEO specifications, which includes arranging tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment. The individual will ensure that meeting rooms and prefunction areas are cleaned daily and will assist in the execution of banquet operations before, during, and after events. The role requires maintaining a good rapport with other departments and reporting any equipment repair needs or safety concerns to the Banquet Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years of banquet, food, or event setup experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate with guests to meet their immediate needs.
• Ability to maintain composure under all situations.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Great organizational and planning skills.
• Well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

• Accurately set up for all meeting and catered functions according to BEO specifications.
• Tear down meetings and catered functions.
• Move and store all furniture and equipment needed for setting up and tearing down banquet functions.
• Ensure that meeting rooms and prefunction areas are cleaned daily.
• Assist in the execution of banquet operations before, during, and after events.
• Serve when necessary.
• Ensure all required items are in place prior to each function.
• Maintain and inventory all supplies and equipment in the banquet storage room.
• Maintain a good rapport and professional relationship with other departments.
