The Event Team at The Cliffs Hotel & Spa is continuously growing and expanding! We are seeking a gracious, thoughtful, and motivated part-time Banquet Server who can create a sense of luxury while executing guest events. We look forward to connecting with you! Position Summary: The Banquet server is to ensure guest satisfaction of all who attend banquet functions at the Cliffs Hotel and Spa. Going above and beyond, as needed, to create a unique experience for our guests.
Requirements
- Ability to stand/move continuously for the duration of the shift (eight hours).
- Regular heavy lifting required (50 pounds or more).
- Ability to carry service trays.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in high stress situations.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and or 50 lbs frequently and/or 20 lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull objects
- Customer Service Experience
- Excellent Command of English language
- Energetic/Motivated/Reliable/Adaptable/Responsible/Efficient/Committed/Friendly
- Responsible Beverage Service Certified
Nice To Haves
- Food & Beverage Experience, Preferred
Responsibilities
- To set-up, break-down, clean-up all event functions (Tables, Chairs, Linen, AV, Umbrellas, Etc.)
- Serve & Bus all Event Food & Beverage (Buffets, Plated Meals, Tray Passed Food, Etc.)
- To demonstrate an attitude of friendly hospitality in every aspect of service
- Learn to read BEO's and prioritize tasks
- Follow Cliffs Standards of Excellence
- Communicates pleasantly and courteously with guests, management and co-workers
- Adjust to changing needs and priorities
- Comply fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards
