About The Position

The historic Washington Hilton is seeking a full-time Banquet Utility Person position to joining their banquets team! This 1107-room property is within blocks of Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan, with The White House and National Mall less than two miles away! The ideal candidate for this position will possess previous experience in a physically demanding role and a solid grasp of customer service! As a Banquet Utility Person, you would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all banquet areas of the hotel and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Responsibilities

  • Clean designated areas including, but not limited to banquet/meeting/conference rooms
  • Perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, emptying carts of soiled linens, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash, insects and debris
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example\: furniture moves, etc.), as needed
  • Inventories, stores, maintains, orders and delivers the table linens for the hotel banquet and food outlet facilities
  • Assists the Banquet and Stewarding departments as needed
