Requirements

Previous Banquet Set-up/Houseperson experience (6 months, preferred)
May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
The position requires mobility.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, kneel, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be fluent in the English language

Responsibilities

Set –up clean and maintain all conference facilities to maximize guest satisfaction in the required timeframe.
Ensure that all banquet storage rooms are kept in a clean and organized manner at all times.
To ensure that all banquet equipment is stored in its respective place.
When transporting banquet equipment ensure that the equipment is kept free from any damage including all walls and doors.
Be familiar with all the various banquet room set-ups and the respective time that it takes to convert a room from one set-up to another.
Should be able to set room without supervision (Theater, rounds Buffets classroom Etc.
Set up and tear down conference rooms
Ensure that you have a full understanding of the various methods of “dressing” a room including but not limited to various napkin folds.
Must know how to skirt tables arrange chairs position tables quickly and efficiently
Be familiar with how to refresh a room and assist banquet service staff on serving banquets.
