About The Position

PRIMARY PURPOSE: As a Banquet Set-Up, you will be responsible for setting up, inspecting, and ensuring rooms are ready for the functions. Position: Hourly, Part-time Location: Gold Strike Casino .

Requirements

• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year fast-paced, high-volume banquet set up and porter experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Must be capable of following directions.
• Must possess good recall and memory.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.
• Must be capable of doing heavy lifting

Responsibilities

• Set banquet rooms as per diagrams and BEOs.
• Inspect rooms to make sure rooms are clean before and after functions
• Ensure set-up is correct according to specifications on the floor plan and ready 30 minutes before the start time of the function.
• Place sign on meeting rooms.
• Refresh meeting rooms.
• Clean and dismantle room set-ups.
• Keep storage areas in proper order.
• Gather all equipment needed for designated setup.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
