About The Position

The Banquet Server at Marriott Raleigh Durham Research Triangle Park is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in a friendly and courteous manner. This role involves setting up banquet areas, taking orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction while adhering to the hotel's service and sustainability standards.

Requirements

• 2 years of server experience
• Ability to operate a POS system
• Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately total guest checks and make correct change
• Full availability
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverage to guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Set and clear tables in banquet areas.
• Take food and beverage orders and place them in the point of service system.
• Pick up orders from food preparation areas and ensure food is prepared accordingly.
• Perform other food and beverage functions such as bartending and bussing during staffing shortages or peak periods.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
