About The Position
Augusta Country Club is a privately owned club with golf, tennis, fitness, and swim facilities in Augusta, GA. We are currently seeking servers that can create a positive, memorable experience for members and their guests. The ideal candidates will be customer service oriented, attentive, polite, courteous and able to interact with members in a professional manner. Dependability is a must. JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for providing the highest quality of services to all guests for any event held within the club facilities. Banquet servers set up for events, carry trays, serve guests, and clean up at the event's conclusion. Set up can include putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and putting up a buffet. Duties during the event can vary based on the situation, but, in general, they must be able to focus on the job while staying on their feet and moving about freely, which can include bending, climbing stairs, and carrying items weighing 25-50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Strong communication and listening skills to effectively communicate in a professional manner with co-workers and membership/guests.
- Clean all banquet equipment at the end of the function or as directed
- Assist in moving tables and chairs as requested.
- Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by supervisor
- Attends line-up as directed by supervisor
- Check out with manager
- Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating them.
- Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and other beverages served with and after the meal.
- Clears soiled dishes as needed.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Banquet Captain.
