Requirements

  • Previous experience as server in a similar banquet and event environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
  • Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
  • Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, to stand or walk for entirety of shift, to move tables and chairs, to carry oval trays using jack stands.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles banquet rooms for each event. Tables, chairs, linens, buffet items, beverages stations, bars, etc.
  • Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature.
  • Serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards in a banquet/events setting.
  • Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
  • Responds to guest requests and communicates special requests to the culinary team.
  • Keeps all banquet spaces clean and organized.
  • Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized.
