The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating, and delivering guests’ needs. The ideal Server comprehends the food and beverage menus and serves food and drinks to our guests directly. Hourly rate for this position: $17.50

Requirements

Candidate must have hands-on food and beverage knowledge and a comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business.
A minimum of relevant serving experience in a large convention hotel is strongly preferred.
Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Highly developed customer service skills; possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
Proven ability to engage guests at all levels. Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service.
Serve Safe certified | Unexpired TIPs required.

Responsibilities

Perform proper steps of service for all banquet events.
Responsible for ensuring high-quality meeting room sets, service, food quality and presentation.
Ensures prompt delivery and quality of equipment from point of departure to arrival.
Complete set up and break down of assigned banquet event.
Ensures compliance with all health, safety, sanitation awareness, hotel standards, and local laws.
Must retain and maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items.
Ensure positive guest service and respond to complaints, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
Executes all necessary instructions on Banquet Event Orders.
Attend all required department trainings and meetings.
