Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous serving experience in a full-service environment, preferably at a fast paced, high-end restaurant, club, or resort.
  • Current Riverside County Food Handler Card.
  • General competency with point-of-sale system, Jonas experience preferred but not required.
  • Attentiveness and patience for customers
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with members, guests, and coworkers.
  • Must be outgoing, friendly, courteous, and patient.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform policies.
  • Must be familiar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Must be able to remain on feet standing and walking for long periods of time, up to 8 hours. As well as sit, squat, reach, bend, stoop, twist, and wipe.
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 25 - 30 lbs.
  • Physical activities include walking, talking, standing, stooping, hearing, seeing, talking, bending, reaching, fingering, feeling, touching, writing, grasping, handling, stretching, balancing, pushing, pulling, and wiping.
  • Interaction with all types of people
  • Considerable repetitive motion of hands, wrists, shoulders, and back is required.
  • Must be able to work outdoors, exposure to various weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind and rain.
  • Works days, nights, holidays, and/or weekends as required.
  • Work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distraction conditions.
  • Read and write handwritten notes.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate members and guests needs and exceed customer service expectations during events
  • Knowledge of menu items, ingredients and preparations
  • Carry a full tray of food and/or beverages.
  • Set up and break down for service and special events.
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, etc.
  • Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
  • Follow proper food handling procedures per Riverside County Food Handler Cert.
  • Report to work as scheduled, in uniform, clocked in, and ready to be in position.
  • Follow Club policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate with F&B management to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency for responding to members needs during all interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
