The Banquet Server is responsible for assisting the Catering Sales Manager in acquiring, maintaining, and servicing catering customers. This role involves organizing special events and catering orders, ensuring the overall guest experience exceeds expectations, and anticipating guests’ needs. The server will also assist with special projects, complete server training, and become proficient in servicing catering calls. Key duties include handling incoming catering calls and emails, updating client lists, maintaining files and sales materials, assisting with proposals and contracts, attending meetings, and managing party supplies and vendor lists. The position requires effective communication, multitasking in a busy environment, and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
