About The Position

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. We’re seeking enthusiastic, service‑minded Banquet Servers to join the River Roast events team. You’ll help deliver exceptional guest experiences for weddings, conferences, galas, corporate meetings, trade shows, and large‑scale events throughout our venue. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy working with people, this role is a great fit.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry 25+ lbs for extended periods.
• Comfortable in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.
• Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and event‑based scheduling.
• ServSafe and BASSET required.

Nice To Haves

• Banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Bartending experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, friendly, efficient service during events.
• Serve plated meals, beverages, and desserts according to event flow.
• Monitor tables and respond promptly to guest requests, dietary needs, and accommodations.
• Replenish buffet, beverage, coffee, and snack stations to keep items stocked and presentable.
• Support timely food delivery from kitchen to event floor.
• Clear plates, glassware, and service items discreetly to maintain a clean environment.
• Communicate with culinary and event teams regarding timing, dietary needs, and service adjustments.
• Maintain neat, visually appealing tables, stations, and décor.
• Duties may adjust based on operational needs.
• Set up tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet and beverage stations per event specifications.
• Assist with décor placement including centerpieces, signage, and themed displays.
• Assist with room flips and transitions between sessions.
• Break down event spaces and return equipment to designated areas.
